WARUM WIR?
Precision.Quality.Personal Style.
At INKTASTIC Tattoo Studio & Art Gallery in Frankfurt am Main, we believe a great piercing should be more than just a beautifully placed piece of jewelry. It should be thoughtfully designed for your anatomy, performed with professional care, and supported throughout the healing process.
Our experienced resident piercer combines professional piercing techniques, implant-grade titanium jewelry, personalized styling, and the hygiene standards of an established tattoo studio.
Whether you're getting your first piercing, creating your own curated ear, or looking for the perfect piece of jewelry, we're here to help you achieve a result that feels right for you.
01. Implant-Grade Titanium – Quality From the Very Beginning
We use implant-grade titanium jewelry for every new piercing. The quality of the jewelry matters especially during the initial healing period, when it remains in direct contact with sensitive tissue.
Implant-grade titanium offers several important advantages:
-
Excellent biocompatibility: Suitable for initial piercings and widely used in medical implant applications.
-
Nickel sensitivity-friendly: A preferred option for people concerned about nickel allergies.
-
Lightweight and comfortable: Less weight on delicate piercing placements.
-
Highly corrosion-resistant: Designed for long-term material stability.
-
Versatile designs: Available in different shapes, sizes, finishes, and jewelry combinations.
We believe high-quality jewelry should be the starting point of every piercing, not an optional upgrade.
02. Your Piercing, Your Design – Your Favorite Jewelry From Day One
Good healing matters. But so does loving how your piercing looks from the very beginning.
At INKTASTIC, we don't believe in a one-size-fits-all approach.
We offer a wide selection of implant-grade titanium piercing jewelry, including different designs, bar lengths, thicknesses, and sizes. This allows us to personalize your piercing right from your first appointment.
Our piercer will help you consider:
-
The ideal placement for your individual anatomy
-
Jewelry designs that complement your ear or body shape
-
Suitable bar lengths and gauges for comfort and healing
-
Jewelry combinations for a curated, balanced look
-
Your personal style, preferences, and future piercing plans
From minimal titanium studs to more expressive jewelry arrangements, we help you create something that suits you.
Every initial jewelry selection is made with healing requirements in mind. Some designs may be better suited for fully healed piercings, and our piercer will explain your options.
Because you shouldn't have to choose between a piercing that heals well and one you genuinely love.
03. An Experienced Resident Piercer – Support Beyond Your Appointment
Piercing doesn't end when the jewelry is inserted. Proper healing, jewelry fit, and ongoing care are equally important.
Our experienced resident piercer is part of the INKTASTIC team and available for professional piercing consultations, jewelry adjustments, downsizing, and aftercare guidance.
If you experience unexpected irritation, swelling, discomfort, or concerns about your jewelry, you can contact our studio for advice and an assessment.
Having a dedicated piercer at an established location means you know where to return when you need help.
Our goal is not simply to perform your piercing, but to support you through the process.
04. Professional Hygiene & Safety
Your safety is never an afterthought.
As an established professional tattoo and piercing studio in Frankfurt, INKTASTIC approaches piercing with the same attention to hygiene, professional handling, and infection prevention that is essential to professional body art.
Our approach includes:
-
Professional needle piercing techniques
-
Sterile, single-use piercing needles
-
Hygienic preparation of the treatment area
-
Appropriate disinfection and infection-control procedures
-
Suitable implant-grade titanium jewelry for fresh piercings
-
Individual anatomy and placement assessment
-
Clear aftercare instructions and follow-up support
We take the time to discuss your preferred placement, choose properly sized jewelry, and explain how to care for your piercing afterward.
A professional piercing should be precise, carefully planned, and performed in an environment where hygiene is taken seriously.
Why and What We Do Things Differently
Why Don't We Use Standard Surgical Steel for Initial Piercings?
Not all jewelry labeled "surgical steel" is created to the same material standard.
Certain certified implant-grade stainless steels can be appropriate for initial piercings. However, the broad term "surgical steel" alone does not guarantee the specific alloy, quality, or suitability of a piece of jewelry.
Some conventional earrings and piercing products also offer limited options for post lengths, backing styles, and interchangeable decorative ends.
At INKTASTIC, we have chosen to standardize our initial piercings with implant-grade titanium. This gives us a consistent material standard while allowing greater flexibility in choosing jewelry suited to individual anatomy.
We also prefer suitable flat-back jewelry where appropriate, rather than traditional butterfly-back earrings that can be uncomfortable and more difficult to keep clean during healing.
For us, the right jewelry is about more than its appearance. Material quality, precise fit, and comfort all matter.
Why Don't We Use Piercing Guns?
We use professional pie rcing needles instead of piercing guns.
Piercing guns typically force a relatively blunt earring post through the tissue, while a sterile hollow piercing needle creates a controlled opening with less unnecessary tissue trauma.
Traditional piercing gun earrings can also present practical limitations:
-
Butterfly backs can trap moisture, debris, and buildup.
-
Fixed-length posts may not leave sufficient room for swelling.
-
Jewelry options and sizes are often limited.
-
The resulting piercing gauge may not be suitable for some standard professional body jewelry without additional adjustment.
-
Reusable piercing guns may present sterilization challenges.
Professional needle piercing allows us to select the appropriate gauge, placement, and jewelry fit for your anatomy.
It's the technique we trust for achieving controlled, precise piercings with jewelry selected for the healing process.
Why Do We Only Pierce Clients Aged 16 and Over?
At INKTASTIC, our minimum piercing age is 16.
This is our studio policy, established as part of our commitment to responsible piercing practices.
Younger clients may still be undergoing physical development, and certain piercing placements can be affected by changing anatomy. We also believe clients should be mature enough to understand the procedure, potential risks, and responsibility involved in proper aftercare.
Our age policy is designed to support informed decisions and reduce avoidable risks.
Our age requirements:
-
Under 16: We do not offer piercing services.
-
Ages 16–17: A parent or legal guardian must accompany the client and provide consent. Valid identification is required.
